The metering closure has the shape of an integral cap (2) which grips over the container mouth and forms a snap-on closure. The liquid product to be metered should not soil the closure region after metering has taken place and the cap (2) has been fitted on again. For this purpose, a measuring beaker (5) is moulded onto the cap (2) concentrically on the inside, which measuring beaker does not contact the inner wall (67) of the container (1) and whose delivery aperture (7) points into the container (1) when the cap (2) is fitted on. <IMAGE>
