PURPOSE:To increase the number of channels without increment of the number of discrimination memories, by constituting the device so that a discrimination memory is not provided for every channel but is used commonly. CONSTITUTION:The input pattern is stored in the input pattern memory 11. Meanwhile, n-category components of discrimination data are stored in the discrimination memory 4, and data of the first - the n-th categories are output onto the discrimination data bus 9 by the discrimination memory control part 7. In the discrimination data input part 31 the head of each category is detected by the control line 10, thereafter discrimination calculation is performed in the discrimination calculation part 21 while inputting discrimination data and the discrimination result is outputted onto the output line 81. This operation is performed for every input channel independently. Thus, it is sufficient if the memory 4 has the same capacity as the one-channel pattern discriminating device, and the discrimination calculation part needs not perform multiple processings. |
