MANUFACTURE FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To achieve a magnetic tape having an axis easy to magnetize in a broadwise direction and high coercive force, by locating an evaporation source at the oblique bottom toward the broadwise direction to a running base film and vapor-depositing a magnetic layer alternately. CONSTITUTION:Crucibles 3 and 3' are located at the oblique bottom toward the broadwise direction to rollers 1 and 1' and magnetic metals 4 and 4' are vapor- deposited while running a base film 2. Thus, a magnetic tape having an easy magnetization axis toward the broadwise direction and high coercive force can be obtained.
