PURPOSE:To detect the position of a matter to be measured with simple constitution by a method wherein a magnetism sensitive resistor made to meander on a substrate is formed as to differ the initial resistance value per unit area or per unit distance according to the distance. CONSTITUTION:The magnetism sensitive resistors 6, 7, 8, and 9 made to meander in the front and rear direction as shown in the figure are formed at every fixed distance D between terminals 1, 2 on the substrate. Because the resistors 6-9 have respectively the different number of meander times, the resistors have the different initial resistance values. A fixed resistor 10 is connected between the terminal 2 and a terminal 3 not shown in the figure, the equivalent circuit being in condition that a voltage Vi is applied between the terminals 1, 3 is the circuit as shown with the figure, and the relation between the ratio of voltage variation DELTAVo/Ve to be generated between both the ends of the resistor 10 and the position of the magnetism generating matter on the magnetism sensitive resistor element forms nearly the linear relation. Namely, by measuring the voltage or the ratio of voltge variation between the terminals 2, 3, the position of the magnetism generating matter can be detected directly. |
