<p>PURPOSE:To permit orientation treatment at temp. below the deformation temp. of electrode substrates made of resins by using a copolymer consisting of isobutyrene and maleic anhydride as orientation control films. CONSTITUTION:The copolymer consisting of isobutyrene and maleic anhydride expressed by the constitutional formula shown is used for orientation control films. For example, a soln. prepd. by dissolving said copolymer in a solvent is coated on a resin film having a transparent conductive film and after the film is heated and dried at 100-120 deg.C, the same is rubbed, whereby an orientation control film is formed. Epoxy acrylate resins, polyethylene terephthalate, etc. are used for the resin substrates. The mol.wts. of the isobutyrene and maleic anhydride copolymer at which said copolymer is soluble in solvents and can be filmed are satisfactory, and dimethyl sulfoxide, cyclohexane, etc. are used for said solvents.</p> |
