PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning effect and prevent the disconnection in the detention state, by allowing a cleaning layer on a supporting material to contain a binder, an organic thermoplastic high polymer pulverulent material, and an organic thermosetting high polymer pulverulent material to set the light transmittance of the tape to a prescribed value or more. CONSTITUTION:In respect to the magnetic tape having a cleaning tape, which cleans the magnetic head of an audio cassette recorder or a video tape recorder, in the end part, a cleaning layer is provided on one or both faces of a tape supporting material to obtain a leader tape. The cleaning layer contains a binder, an organic thermoplastic high polymer pulverulent material having a prescribed particle size, and an organic thermosetting high polymer pulverulent material having a prescribed particle size. For example, a film consisting of the mixture of a polyethylene powder, a triazine resin powder, a vinyl chloride- vinyl acetate copolymer, and a polyurethane resin is provided on a polyethylene terephthalate supporting material. Thus, the tape has a prescribed light transmittance, and the disconnection is reduced, and the cleaning effect is improved. |
