<p>PURPOSE:To treat sewage in a stable state and to reduce costs by detecting the inflow of the sewage, and controlling a purifying apparatus in such a way that an aerator is driven by the time proportional to the detected inflow time. CONSTITUTION:A detector 16 is provided in the pipe part in an inflow port 2 for sewage. The detector 16 consists of transmitters and receivers 16a, 16b for ultrasonic waves which emit ultrasonic wave pulses in diagonal directions and receive the same. When the ultrasonic waves emitted by the same are changed by the flow of the sewage, the detection signal operates an oscillator 17a, and the pulses oscillated by the same are counted with a counter 17b. The inflow time (t) of sewage is detected by the count values thereof and the exposure time T proportional to the time (t) is operated in a microcomputer part 17c, which calculates the exposure time T by prescribed equations and controls a driving circuit 17d for the time T, thereby driving a motor 11 and performing exposure with an aerator 7a. Thus, the aeration is accomplished in proportion to the inflow of the sewage.</p> |
