PURPOSE:To obtain a selective calling device with which the S/N is improved during a call and furthermore the rise time is accelerated for a reserved answer, by cutting off the power supply of a signal generator. CONSTITUTION:When a receiver 1 receives a receiving signal FR, a reception controller 2 discriminates a reservation accepting signal fRO, a start signal fRS and a clock signal FRL respectively from fR. If it is desired to give a reply to the signal fRO after receiving it, a transmission controller 5 is started to close a relay contact 7a. Then the output of a signal generator 6 is fed to a transmitter 4, and a reservation answer signal fT is delivered from the transmitter 4. In this case, the power supply 8 of the generator 6 is controlled by a contact 10a of a control relay for the power supply 8. Thus a power supply is applied to the generator 6 at all times except for a period of call. When the signal fRS is received, a speaker 3 and a mike 9 are connected to receive a receiving voice VR. At the same time, a transmitting voice VT is transmitted to enable a call. Thus no power supply 8 is applied to the generator 6. |
