PURPOSE:To improve the probability of the generation of an error detected by an error detecting code in digital data and to improve the efficiency of error detection and error correction, by encoding error correction including the redundancy data of an error detecting code. CONSTITUTION:An error flag controlling circuit 17 compares an error flag from an IC decoding circuit 15 with an error flag from a CRC error detecting circuit 16 and composes an error flag of a fine data unit with sufficient reliability to supply the composed error flag to an OC decoding circuit 18. The circuit 18 corrects the error by using the error flag and a vertical parity. The circuit 18 outputs video data having the error flag to an error correcting circuit 19. The circuit 19 is constituted by an interpolation circuit for average interpolation or the like or a digital filter and video data suppressing the influence of the error are taken out from an output terminal 20. |
