PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and resolution of a photosensitive body especially having a laminate photosensitive layer composed of a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer, by forming a photosensitive layer on the surface of a substrate having reflectance of visible light at a specified value or higher. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer, especially a function-separation type photosensitive layer composed of a 50-500nm this film charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer is formed on the surface of a substrate of a metal such as Al of Cr polished so as to give reflectance of visible light having >=80% on the average. As a result, since the light transmitted through the charge generating layer is reflected with the surface of the substrate to generate sufficient amt. of charge, and uniform light is reflected, the obtained photosensitive body is superior in photosensitivity and resolution. As insulating film made of plastics coated with Al, Ag, or the like by plating or vapor deposition or the like and having reflectance having >=80% valnes on the average may be used for the substrate. |
