<p>Cyclopropyl carboxylic amides are interesting intermediate products particularly for the production of the corresponding amines, which are in turn a basis for herbicides. According to the present invention the cyclopropyl carboxylic amides are produced by reacting .gamma.-chloro butyric esters with alcoholates in the presence of liquid ammonia. The products are obtained in high yields.</p> |
