PURPOSE:To accurately detect a seam position of each color part of an ink sheet, by a method wherein a cutout for detecting a seam position is provided at a trailing end part of each color part of a color ink sheet, and the cutout is detected. CONSTITUTION:The cutouts 111, 121, 131 are provided respectively at trailing ends of color parts of the color ink sheet 1 wherein a yellow part 11, a magenta part 12 and a cyan part 13 are continuously seamed in a predetermined order. A grounded metallic plate 2 and an acutator 3 consisting of an elastic metal such as phosphor bronze are provided on opposite sides of the color ink sheet 1, whereby when each of the cutouts 111-131 reaches a position between the plate 2 and the actuator 3, they are brought into contact with each other, and a voltage impressed on the actuator 3 is grounded through the plate 2, so that the seam can be detected. |
