PURPOSE:To obtain a plastic electrode hard to permeate for halogen of an active material by using fluorine series resin, carbon black, and graphite to form it. CONSTITUTION:Fluorine series resin, carbon black, and graphite are used to form a plastic electrode. Polyvinylidene fluoride or ethylene-ethylene tetrafluoride, for example, is used as the fluororesin. This plastic electrode can remarkably reduce the diffusion of halogen serving as an active material, e.g., bromine, thereby reducing the self-discharge and further improving the energy efficiency of a cell, and also an electrode plate can be prevented from being corroded and can be used for a logn time. In addition, it can be produced at a low cost and can be applied for all cells generally using conductive plastics as electrodes as well as metal halogen cells such as a bromine-zinc cell, a chlorine-zinc cell, etc. or for electrochemical reaction. |
