摘要 PURPOSE:To make the use of continuous furnace for both low and high temperatures possible without taking special measures to an agitation fan, by a method wherein the material transfer mechanism in the furnace is so constructed to make both positive and negative advances possible in the continuous reheating furnace equipped with the agitation fan along the ceiling near furnace end in the furnace. CONSTITUTION:In the continuous reheating furnace wherein material charging and extracting apparatuses 48 and 50 equipped with roller tables 60 respectively at furnace end A and furnace top B of furnace body are arranged, an atmosphere agitation fan 32 is installed on the ceiling in furnace of zone near furnace end A, and further, is so constructed as to be able to advance materials positively and negatively in both directions in furnace with the material transfer mechanism 16 consisting of stationary bed 12, movable bed 14 etc., materials to be heated 26 is charged from furnace end A side, heated at a high temperature with burner 34 transferring in the direction of furnace top B during stopping fan 32, and extracted from furnace top B side in heating treatment such as quenching or the like. Furthermore, in heating at a low temperature such as tempering or the like, materials are reversely advanced in the direction from furnace top B bo furnace end A rotating the fan 32 and heated during transferring.
