PURPOSE:To reduce the man-hours of manufacturing by comprising the three- color phosphor stripes of a front lighting type beam index system color picture tube with the mixture consisting of individual color phosphors and index phosphors. CONSTITUTION:Green, blue, and red luminous phosphor stripes 2g, 2b, and 2r are regularly arranged and formed on the inner surface of the panel section 1d of a front lighting type beam index system color picture tube 1 and each of the phosphor stripes 2g, 2b, and 2r is comprised with a mixture consisting of the index phosphor with each color and the index phosphor that emits each color. A phosphor screen is formed by providing the rear with a metal back coat 3. Then an electron gun 6 is controlled by a signal from a photoelectric converter 4 with a filter 5 arranged in the forward oblique direction of the panel section 1d and is irradiated with the current corresponding to each color as an electron beam. As a result, the structure of the phosphor screen can sharply be simplified. |
