PURPOSE:To improve fidelity and stabilize picture quality by adjusting properly the grain size distribution of toner for controlling precisely its static charge amount and fluidity. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic image holder 1 which holds an electrostatic image on the surface and a toner carrier 2 which carries the toner 5 on the surface are arranged at a development part across a specific gap. Then, the toner 5 of <=1.2 in true specific gravity which has 10-20mum mean grain size and is 5.04-20.2mum by >=50% in a volume distribution is carried on the carrier 2 to thickness smaller than the gap between the holder 1 and carrier 2. Then, the toner is dislocated to the holder 1 at the development part to perform development. |
