PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of head positioning and to attain high density recording by storing a value correcting a head position deciding error at each track to a nonvolatile data storage means and controlling a stepping motor with the value. CONSTITUTION:A voltage applied to windings A, B or Duty ratio to make the positioning error zero is measured as to each track after the end of assembling. A data corresponding to the voltage value of the Duty is written in a PROM12. Thus, a correction data to zero the position error at each drive and track is written in the inside of the PROM12. Thus, in using the drive, a signal to zero the position error at each track is read from the PROM12 in response to the output of a track counter 11, the stepping motor comes to a standstill at a position to zero the positioning error by a converter 13 and a stepping motor driver 14 so as to attain high density recording. |
