PURPOSE:To obtain the seal prominent in productivity as well as a good seal performance by a method wherein the seal near the center of the scroll is made so as to have the configuration shown after the seal is fitted into the scroll spiral body and the seal for the outer peripheral section of the scroll is punched so as to have linear or large arced shape while these parts are made into a continuous seal having a spiral configuration. CONSTITUTION:The tip seal 20 is made by a method wherein a part 202 near the center is provided with a configuration shown after the seal is fitted into the scroll spiral body or similar configuration and the outer peripheral part 203 is provided with the shape 201 which is punched out of the base plate 200 of the tip seal while both parts are bent continuously so as to have a continuous spiral shape. The punched tip seal 20 forms a predetermined spiral shape when it is bent slightly, therefore, the productivity in mass production may be improved and the good seal performance may be obtained since the shape of section of the seal will never become a table shape.
