PURPOSE:To obtain a hatch-cover tightening apparatus in small-size at a low cost by allowing a tightening arm which is supported in swingable ways at one edge onto a fastening hook which can be moved right and left and raised and lowered through parallel links and equipped with a roller at the other edge to be laterally moved by a working cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An upper hook 3 suspended onto a bracket 2 installed in projection onto a hatch-cover 1 side edge and a tightening hook 7 supported onto a lower bracket 6'' installed in projection onto a hatch coaming side plate through a pair of parallel links 9 are freely engaged, each other, and the hatch cover is tightened. The operation of the tightening hook 7 is carried-out by allowing a tightening arm 8 which is supported in swingable ways onto the lower part of the fastening hook at one edge and has a roller at the other edge to be laterally moved by a working cylinder 11. The roller is guiding-shifted along the lower- part undersurface of the upper bracket 6' of the hatch coaming side plate. Thus, the whole constitution can be simplified.
