PURPOSE:To select the carry-in/carry-out position and direction of a work by horizontally turning a table moved up and down along a frame via the rotation of a sprocket engaged with a fixed chain along the frame during the up-and- down movement. CONSTITUTION:When a table 2 is at its lowest limit, an arm 34 is inclined due to its contact with the contact section 34b of a stopper arm 34 and a support member 38 is lowered, thereby a stopper plate 31 is lower than the table 2. When a work is carried in from the plate 31 side, the work reflects the light of a photoelectric switch and its carry-in is detected, and individual rollers 35 are rotated so as to introduce the work. Next, after the work is introduced, a balance weight is lowered via the rotation of upper and lower sprockets by a motor, and the table 2 is raised. Now, the arm 34 returns to a horizontal position, and the table 2 is horizontally turned together with a base stand 18. When the table 2 is raised to the switch position, the motor is stopped, and when the rise is stopped, the plate 31 is lowered and the work can be carried out.
