The non-planar joint is made betwen two wooden parts (1,2) by cutting a number of transverse slots (1a) in the end face of the first part (1). The second part (2) which may be in two pieces (2',2'') has similar slots (2'a,2''a) in each end face. The tongues (1b) formed between the slots of the first part fit in the slots (2'a,2''a) of the second part and the tongues (2'b,2''b) of the second part fit in the slots of the first part. The joint is secured with adhesive and may be reinforced with an additional member (3).
