PURPOSE:To economically perform transfer without consuming a master image forming base material, by printing the master image forming base material with the ink on a thermal transfer ink roll under heating by a thermal head while transferring the printed image to a support to be transferred between hot rolls. CONSTITUTION:The heat-fusible ink on a thermal transfer ink roll 1 is prined to a master image forming base material 2 under heating by a thermal head 3 to form a printed image 4 which is, in turn, transferred to a support 5 to be transferred 5 between hot rolls 6, 7 to form a transfer image. This master image forming base material 2 is reusable and can be repeatedly and continuously used by forming the same into an endless form. Therefore, consumption as generated in conventional disposable thermal transfer recording paper is eliminated and economical transfer is performed. |
