PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain fresh water, by vertically providing a sea water introducing pipe in an evaporation tank container and providing a water sprinking pipe provided with a large number of through-holes by drilling to said pipe while connecting a fresh water pipe to the coil in a heat exchanger outside the container. CONSTITUTION:A sea water introducing pipe 2 is vertically provided in an evaporation tank container 1 and water sprinkling pipes 3 are arranged to the pipe 2 in the horizontal direction. When a vacuum pump 10 is operated, the atmospheric pressure in the evaporation tank container 1 is lowered and sea water is sprinlked in the container from the water sprinkling pipes 3 through the sea water introducing pipe 2. The evaporation tank container 1 internally collect solar heat to effectively raise the temp. in the container and the moisture evaporated thereby reaches a heat exchange coil 8 through a fresh water pipe 9 to be cooled and successively taken out from a suction conduit 11. By this method, heat exchange is efficiently performed and capacity is excellent and operation is made easy.
