PURPOSE:To prevent the volatilization of perfumes and obtain a bath agent having good solubility at the same time, by blending methylated cyclodextrin with a bath agent containing various water-soluble flavors to include the perfumes in the methylated cyclodextrin. CONSTITUTION:A bath agent, readily soluble in hot water and obtained by previously preparing, e.g. aqueous solutions or suspensions of various water- insoluble flavors, a compound, oil and methylated cyclodixtrin (hereinafter abbreviated to methylated CD), mixing them for 30-60 min, powdering the mixture by vacuum drying, etc., adding and blending the resultant powder with another bath agent mixture to include the perfumes in the methylated CD. Partically methylated CD in which hydrogen atoms of OH groups at the 2,3- or 6-positions of beta-CD are partially substituted by methyl groups is preferred for the methylated CD from the view point of water solubility and lipophilicity. The inclusion of the perfumes in the methylated CD in place of CD remarkably improves the solubility in water. |
