PURPOSE:To obtain a compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing pressure-sensitive recording paper or heat-sensitive recording paper, by reacting a diphenylnitroethylene derivative with an alkaline metallic salt or an alkaline earth metallic salt of hydrogen sulfide and a thiol derivative. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formula I (R1 and R2 are alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl or may form hetero ring; R3-R11 are H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or amino) is reacted with an alkali metallic salt or an alkaline earth metallic salt of hydrogen sulfide and a compound shown by the formula R-SH or the formula HS-R'-SH (R and R' are alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl). The reaction is carried out in a solvent such as water, methanol, etc., at -10-100 deg.C to give the aimed compound shown by formula II. The amount of the alkali metallic salt or alkaline earth metallic salt of hydrogen sulfide used is 0.1-3mol based on 1mol compound shown by formula I and that of the thiol derivative is 0.1-5mol. |
