MECHANISM FOR OPENING AND CLOSING PLATEN COVER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a hinge mechanism to constitute an opening/closing mechanism and to contrive cost reduction thereof by energizing a rotating plate of said mechanism in the direction of opening and closing said plate by an energizing means via an opening/closing shaft. CONSTITUTION:A platen cover device 2 is mounted with the hinge mechanism 4 at one side end and is provided with the rotating plate 6 fixed on one side end of a platen cover part 200 rotatably around a shaft part 7 with respect to a hinge plate 5 fixed on one side face 102 of a copying machine body 100 so that the plate is opened and closed around the shaft 7. The energizing force of a spring 501 acts on the plate 6 so as to push and open the opening/closing shaft 601 around the shaft 7. The constitution is thereby simplified and the opening and closing operations of the platen cover part are extremely simplified.
