Fluoro-m-phenylenediamine derivatives and compositions for the oxidative dyeing of hair

Fluoro-m-phenylenediamine derivatives of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R has the meaning (C1-C4)-alkyl, (C2-C4)-hydroxyalkyl, (C3-C4)-dihydroxyalkyl or (C1-C4)-alkoxyalkyl, and compositions for the oxidative dyeing of hair based on a developer substance/coupler substance combination containing a compound of the formula (I) as the coupler substance. The novel coupler substances of the formula (I) in combination with developer substances such as p-phenylenediamine or its derivatives make possible more intense and more stable blue colorations than with m-phenylenediamine and in combination with developer substances such as p-aminophenol or its derivatives more intense red colorations than with m-phenylenediamine.
