PURPOSE:To obtain wave dissipation blocks having a high specific gravity, excellent in economical efficiency and stably producible also in future, by replacing all or part of sand and ballast in components of cement concrete with iron ore. CONSTITUTION:Cement is kneaded with sand and ballast using water to produce cement concrete, which is then formed to provide wave dissipation blocks. In the above-mentioned blocks, all or part of the afore-mentioned sand and ballast is replaced with iron ore of an almost equal grade (specific gravity) in an almost equal volume. Hematite, magnetite, limonite, etc., are cited as the iron ore. The amount of the blended iron ore is preferably adjusted to so as to provide <=5.0T/m<3> block specific gravity in aspects of block strength. The ratio of the cement to water is regulated to 50-70% in producing the wave dissipation blocks. |
