The driving station, consisting of an entity built outside of the vehicle and ready to be installed therein, is made of separate and self-contained subassemblies which are preequipped and checked independently before grouping together and assembly. Each of these subassemblies carries guiding and centring means 100 to ensure that they are placed in mutual mechanical alignment, mechanical fixing devices 200, electrical connectors 300 with conductors 400 and a base part 500 carrying a part of these connectors and conductors. These means, devices, connectors are arranged so as to be joined by a translational movement which is practically normal to the surface of mutual contact of the subassemblies in pairs. <IMAGE>
