A tooth paste conpsn. comprises, 2-10 wt.% of at least two of anhydrous sod. pyrophosphate, anhyrous potassiun phosphate or acidic sodium pyrophosphate; 0.01-0.3 wt.% of NaF; 0.1-2 wt.% copolymer of vinylmethylether and maleic acid (anhydride); 0.5-3 wt.% of sodium lauryl sulfate as an anionic surfactant; 0.5-3 wt.% of polyoxyethylene polyoxy propylene copolymer as an nonionic surfactant; and other conventional ingradients. The conpsn. is partc. effective in reducing dental plaque deposition on teeth.
