Carboxylic diacids and their derivatives. The compounds are those of the following general formula I: <IMAGE> in which: R and R' can be identical or different and each represent an OH group or a OCH3 group or a OC2H5 group (linear configuration) or (R R') represents a CR1CR2 group or a NR1 group or an oxygen atom (cyclic configuration) R1 and R2 can be identical or different and each represent a hydrogen, bromine or chlorine atom or a methyl group, (C---C) represents a CR1 = CR2 group or a CR1R2-C = CR1R2 group or a (CR1R2)n group where n is 0, 1, 2 or 3. Application as nematicidal products which have specific, selective properties.
