Coupling for pipes, by means of which a pipe end is intended to be fastened in a sealed manner, which coupling comprises at least one ring intended to be slipped onto the pipe, a so-called body, which comprises a tubular portion which is externally threaded or equivalent and into which the pipe end is intended to be inserted and also which is arranged so as to constitute an outwardly widening seat for an externally essentially conically shaped ring portion, and a nut arranged so as to be slipped onto the pipe and also to interact with said body, mutual axial displacement between the nut and the body being intended to bring about a reduction of the inner diameter of at least one/some ring portion(s) and thus sealing contact between the pipe and the ring portion(s). The coupling is characterized in particular in that a first ring 7 is present, which first ring 7 is externally essentially conically shaped and in this connection tapers towards one 7' of its ends for interaction with the seat 4' of said body 4, which seat 4' in this connection has a widening shape corresponding essentially to the conical shape of the ring 7 and is arranged so also as to fit a so-called cutting ring, and which first ring 7 at its other end 7'', in a manner essentially known per se, widens internally so that an internal bevelling 7''' is formed, and in that a second ring 8 is present, which is essentially symmetrical about a plane at right angles to the axial direction of the ring 8 and comprises a bevelled portion 8' at each end 8'' for interaction with said internal bevelling 7''' of the first ring 7 or with a, preferably corresponding, internal bevelling 9' of said nut 9. <IMAGE> |
