<p>PURPOSE:To detect such an obstacle as a vehicle or the like on a crossing road without fail by detecting the obstacle on the crossing road when an image of laser beams projected on an imaging surface of a video camera has come to nonlinear beam due to an interruption of the laser beams. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal arm 4 is installed on top of a column 3 erected at one side of a crossing road 1 as being projected to the side of the crossing road 1, while a video camera 5 is set up in a tip of this arm 4, and the crossing road 1 is photographed from the upside. In addition, a laser beam emitter 7 is set up in a base end of the arm 4. This laser beam emitter 7 is constituted to change an illuminating angle of a semiconductor laser beam emitting part so as to have the sector beam irradiated in a direction orthogonal with the crossing road direction. When an obstacle exists on the crossing road, the laser beam is projected to an imaging surface of the video camera 5 as reflected from the crossing road surface and the obstacle, and with a nonlinear beam image at this time, a fact that there is an obstacle on the crossing road is detected by a detecting means.</p> |
