The present invention relates to a novel device, put into place in order to carry out, by thermoforming, the automatic manufacture of video-cassette cases. According to Figure 1, the invention is characterised by an equipment assembly comprising a polyvinyl or polystyrene supply unit (1), a differential preheating station (2), a unit (3) for thermoforming by thrusts, a cooling unit, a back-piece dispenser (4), the cutting of the case controlled by an electrical control device maintaining continuous operation, a high-frequency welding unit (8) and extraction of the waste by means of a take-up (winder) machine (9) under mechanical tension.
