The hydrazine is produced by (a) reacting an ammonium chloride with a ketone of R1R2-C=O [R1=R2=C1-4 alkyl using a barium peroxide as an oxidant to obtain a ketazine R1R2-C=N-N=C-R1R2 [R1=R2=C1-4 alkyl , (b) double-decomposing the obtd. barium chloride with a sodium hydroxide to obtain a barium hydroxide, and then oxidizing the barium hydroxide at 400-500 deg.C to continuously recycle the barium peroxide, and (c) acid-hydrolyzing the obtd. ketazine.
