A laminating method for making hide selfsupporting comprises the steps of the leather being shaped in accordance with the shape the finished product is to have, of the meat side of the leather being impregnated with a hardening plastic material, of a fibre material being applied to the meat side and of the fibre material being impregnated with the same plastic material such that the latter amalgamates with the plastic material which has penetrated into the leather. The laminated leather can be used as a self-supporting material in furniture, handbags and suitcases, cycle saddles and similar products. <IMAGE> |
