The method comprises (a) fixing a filament wire on the jig (20) so that the filament wire is kept parallel to each other at an interval, (b) electrodepositing electron-emitting material on the fixed filament wire to prepare a line cathode (11), (c) positioning the line cathode on the welding point of the supporter (12), combining with the jig (20') fixed with the jig (20) and the substrate (10), and (d) welding and cutting the line cathode and the supporter. The method can prevent electron-emitting material from falling off when fixing the line cathode on the jig and improve the productivity by reducing bad welding.
