Objects of composite yarns of loop pile type, process for their manufacture and scouring products containing such yarns in their structure. The said yarns (1) comprise a core (2) around which is wound, at a distance, in a floating manner, at least one yarn (3) exhibiting at least one sharp ridge, in a helix with nonadjoining turns (4). The said turns (4) of the helix are distributed irregularly along the said core (2) and are in places stretched (4a), in places gathered (4b) with each other to form small loops (4b). <IMAGE>
