Double universal joint with internal support relates to machine building and can be used in vehicles. The universal joint comprises a double yoke (1), two cross-pieces (2, 3) with needle bearings (4) and pins (5, 6), two external yokes (7, 8). Both cross-pieces (2, 3) interact with the holes of the double yoke (1) by two pins (5). The other two pins (6) of the cross-piece (2, 3) interact with external yokes (7, 8) respectively. The external yoke (7) is made with a stem (9), and the external yoke (8) has a boss (10) with a cavity (11) in the form of hemisphere, where the ball (12) is located. The diameter (B) of through hole of the boss cavity (11) is smaller than the diameter (A) of the ball. The ball (12) has a hole, where the stem (9) of the yoke (7) goes in. The middle part of the ball (12) surface is made with the cylindrical surface (13), its axis is oriented at right angle to axis of the ball cylindrical hole. The diameter (C) of the ball (13) cylindrical surface is smaller than the diameter (B) of the through hole of the cavity (11) ensuring the ball free passing in the trough hole of the cavity. The objective of operational reliability and lifetime increasing of double universal joint with internal support has been solved. |
