The door (1) has top and bottom side rollers running in horizontal and vertical guide rails respectively. A notched belt (4), fixed behind the lintel (5), runs horizontally to a ceiling-mounted (23) pneumatic (24) tensioning unit (22), and is looped round a toothed roller (10) in a power unit (8) fixed to the door top (6). Guide rollers (11,12,13) maintain close belt contact. A motor, started by radio remote control, drives the toothed roller along the belt and the door top along the top rails, an electrical latch (27-31) releasing the bottom, which rises up the side rails. An excess-torque detector stop motion at the end of travel. The power supply, by mains recharged 12v battery, permits operation during mains failures. |
