The marking system consists of a strip of white fabric, e.g. 6 - 8 cm long by 1 - 2 cm wide, on which any desired information, such as name, forename, blood group or other medical data can be inscribed with the aid of an indelible pen. The fabric strip can be sewn, for example, into the inside of the back of a garment, with seams along all four edges.
