The workplace (2) can be tilted and removed and below this the desk (1) is divided into segment receptacles and set-down surfaces plus a desk base (5) with wheels (6). The forward wheels are arrestable. When used for customer advice and consultation, the desk with its workplace tiltable through 8 deg. has a trough for writing instruments etc. plus set-down and set-down surface for files. A bottom set-down is supplemented to take a two-tier material sample receptacle arranged between the receptacle and the outer wall. When used as lectern or podium, the desk has additional set-downs and office material spaces and holders for radially arranged files and set-downs curved forwards over 8 deg plus a sequence of descending set-downs which slope back at 8 deg.
