FIELD: ship raising technique. SUBSTANCE: method consists in engagement of gripping devices made in form of slip knots on ends of load-bearing ropes with gripping device mounted on board ship over perimeter above fenders which are made in form of load-bearing projections on ship's side. Engagement of slip knot with load-bearing projection is effected by motion of surface ship. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of securing load-bearing ropes to sunken ship.
