PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial direction register adjusting device for a split plate cylinder, with a capability to enhance the ease of operation and the reliability of an adjusting mechanism in assembly and maintenance services. SOLUTION: The split plate cylinder 1 incorporates a plate cylinder body 4 and a shell 5 fitted in a core setting fashion with both ends supported axially by frames 2a, 2b respectively. An arm 16 rocks centered around a rocking lever shaft 15. On the upper end of the arm 16, a housing 14 connected to the shell 5 is axially supported and on the lower end, a piece 27 is axially supported. A threaded shaft 22 which is rotated by a motor 23 is screwed into the piece 27 (internal thread block). The arm 16 rocks by the actuation of the motor 23, and the shell 5 is moved in the axial direction to achieve the registration of the shell 5 in the axial direction. The plate cylinder body 4 is registered in the axial and the circumferential direction and the shell 5 is registered in the circumferential direction, both in the same manner as conventionally.
