PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CAD system which prevents the positions of components from being misinputted and speeds up the position input operation for the components. SOLUTION: The CAD system for generating the plan of the unit type building formed by combining building units in rectangular parallelopiped shapes is provided with a component position guide means 37 which shows positions where components can be installed when the components are inputted to the plan of the building unit. Consequently, the positions where the components can be installed is displayed on a display device, so an operator operates according to the display of the display device to accurately input the positions of the components to be inputted; and then the positions of the components are prevented from being misinputted and the need to redo the position input operation is eliminated, so that the position input operation for the components can speedily be completed.
