PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for displaying a connection time elapsed and a charge on an exclusive terminal of the internet is provided to improve the convenience of a user by enabling the user to easily recognize the time elapsed and the charge in case that the user connects to the internet through a telephone line and to recognize a cumulative connection time and charge by the month. CONSTITUTION: A user interface unit receives a signal for setting charge and applies the signal to a control unit. The control unit calculates telephone charges, and cumulative connection time and charge. A real-time clock(13) which outputs a signal in real time and a memory unit(14) which stores the cumulative connection time and the charge are connected to the control unit(12). A display unit(15) which displays the cumulative connection time and the charge according to a control signal of the control unit(22) is connected to the control unit(12). The display unit(15) is composed of a display control unit(151) and a display plate(152). A network interface unit is connected to the control unit(12).
