PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high speed output and stable power consumption quantity by varying preparation operation control at the time of reading next picture data when plural pieces of picture data are held and one piece of picture is held. SOLUTION: When CPU 4001 enables the up counter of a timer 4002, an up counter value is increased by a clock source connected to a timer 4002 having one up counter and one comparison register. The timer 4002 gives information of the matching of the counter and the comparison register through an interruption line 4010 and holds it for a prescribed time by setting a counter value to '0' and a signal line 4006 to H. Then, it becomes L again and L is held to the next matching of comparison. When the signal line is switched from L to H, the phase of a stepping motor 4004 moves by one. Then, the motor 4004 is accelerated by a motor table which a memory 4005 stores by gradually speeding up phase switch timing.
