PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method and a washing machine using no detergent at all for preventing ill influence on human body and a natural environment and greatly reducing the time required for a process from washing to drying for greatly improving the work efficiency and preventing a wear, deformation, shrinkage, decoloring, wrinkles, and the like in clothes. SOLUTION: A cylindrical drum 14 closed at one end is provided freely rotatably in an internal space 12 of the main body 10 of the washing machine, and multiple through holes 16 are formed in the cylindrical part of the drum. A jetting tube 48 provided with multiple jetting holes 50 is positioned on the inside of the drum, and a mixture of special water and air or air is introduced into the jetting tube 48. The special water has washing effect without using any detergent. Clothes to be washed are put in an air-permeable and water- permeable storage member 54, and then, the member 54 is mounted to the drum. Subsequently, the mixture of special water and air is jetted to the clothes at high speed from the jetting holes 50 in the jetting tube 48, so that this mixture penetrates the clothes at high speed so as to remove dirt sticking to the clothes.
