PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a heat developable photographic sensitive material free from the unevenness of development by heat development and improved in finished quality by improving the uniform developing property (stability of development), high density and contrast and to provide a heat developing device used therefor. SOLUTION: In the method for processing the heat-developable photographic sensitive material containing an organic silver particle, a photosensitive silver halide particle, a reducing agent and a contrasting agent on a supporting body, a heat roller having a heat source inside the roller and having >=15 cm to <=30 cm diameter is provided. The shortest distance between transporting rollers in contact with the outer circumference of the heat roller is >=1 mm to <=20 mm, the line speed (SLS) at the time of processing is >=15 mm/sec to <=45 mm/sec and the ratio TSL/SLS to the line speed (TLS) at the time of standing-by is 0.01<=TSL/SLS<=0.75.
