PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembled battery of a control valve type lead-acid battery having no terminal projecting from the outline envelope of the assembled battery, hardly requiring a space in a bonnet of an automobile for connection of the terminals of the assembled battery with external connection wires, allowing easy and accurate connection with the external connection wires, and not causing a short circuit accident during work. SOLUTION: This assembled battery comprises a control valve type lead-acid battery A having a 12 V type terminal voltage and a control valve type lead- acid battery B having a 36 V type terminal voltage, wherein one is placed on the other. Electrode plates of the battery A have horizontal operation faces. The battery B and the battery A are respectively formed with cutout parts 5, 6 in side faces or corners, while respectively having terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 in the cutout parts 5, 6. The terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 of the battery B and the battery A are connected to a plug 7 of three terminals or four terminals.
